About Davinah

I am a Black, queer woman, a partner, mother, community member, word weaver, seeker, and dreamer. I thrive in spaces of imagination, laughter, deep inquiry, movement, connection over food, and my people.

After working in higher education, non-profits, and corporate environments the common thread in all of these places was a performative “top heavy” mind over body approach. The environments were filled with lots of talking, no embodiment, no connection, and too often required me to leave the most important parts of myself at home. The cycles of exhaustion, lack of fulfillment, and sterility of those structures brought me back to chasing aliveness after my body decided to revolt, manifesting as autoimmune dysfunction.

After completing 4 years of study in both mysticism/ritual work and somatic training— coupled with birth and death doula work for 8 years, I was able to find my medicine and let that ripple out into my work with others.

I reside on un-ceded Suquamish land with my favorite cast of characters: my partner, spirited daughter, wild pup, and verdant garden.

Boring stuff: I have a Masters in College Counseling and Student Development, am a certified Doula and Lactation Educator, and received by Somatic Experiencing Certificate in 2026.
